Advocate Loop

Refund Policy

Last updated: May 6, 2026

We want you to be confident in your purchase. This Refund Policy describes when refunds are available for Advocate Loop subscriptions, how to request one, and how we handle them.

In short: if you upgrade to a paid plan and decide within 14 days that Advocate Loop isn’t right for you, we’ll refund your first paid month — no questions asked. After that, subscriptions are non-refundable, but you can cancel any time and you’ll keep access until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.

This Refund Policy is part of, and incorporated into, our Terms of Service.

1. What’s eligible for a refund

Starter plan: The Starter plan is free, so refunds are not applicable.

Growth and Premier plans: If you upgrade to a paid plan from a free plan or sign up for a paid plan directly, you have 14 days from the date of your first paid charge to request a full refund. No reason required.

The 14-day window applies only to your first paid billing period for a given account. Subsequent monthly renewals are not eligible for refunds.

If we materially reduce features on your plan, you may request a pro-rated refund of the affected billing period regardless of how long you’ve been subscribed.

2. What’s not eligible for a refund

The following are not eligible for refunds:

  • Requests made more than 14 days after the first paid charge
  • Subsequent monthly renewals after the first paid period
  • Pro-rated refunds for partial months after the 14-day window has passed
  • Accounts terminated for violation of our Terms of Service
  • Charges arising from your usage exceeding plan limits, where applicable

3. How to request a refund

Email billing@advocateloop.com from the email address associated with your account. Include:

  • Your account email address
  • The date of the charge you’d like refunded
  • (Optional) A short note about why — we don’t require a reason, but feedback helps us improve the product

We’ll confirm receipt within one business day and process the refund within 5–10 business days. Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

4. Processing times

Once approved, refunds are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. The exact time it takes for the refund to appear on your statement depends on your bank or card issuer — typically 3–10 additional business days.

If you don’t see the refund in your account within 15 business days of our approval, contact your bank first, then reach out to us with your bank’s reference if needed.

5. Annual plans

If you subscribe to an annual plan (when available), the 14-day refund window applies to the first annual payment. After the 14-day window, annual subscriptions are non-refundable for the remainder of the term.

You may cancel an annual subscription at any time, and you’ll retain access through the end of the paid period.

6. Cancellation is not the same as a refund

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation stops future renewals immediately but does not refund the period you’ve already paid for — you’ll keep access until the end of that period.

If you want a refund of your most recent charge (and you’re within the 14-day window), follow the steps in Section 3 in addition to canceling.

7. Chargebacks and disputes

If you have a billing concern, please contact us first. We’re responsive and will work to resolve issues quickly. Filing a chargeback or dispute with your card issuer without first contacting us may result in immediate account suspension while the dispute is investigated.

Accounts that initiate chargebacks for charges that fall outside our refund eligibility may be permanently terminated. We’d much rather have a conversation than a card-network dispute.

8. Exceptions

We may, at our discretion, issue refunds outside of this policy in cases of demonstrated billing errors on our part, prolonged service outages that materially affected your usage, or other extraordinary circumstances. These are evaluated case by case and are not guaranteed.

Where required by applicable consumer protection law (including in some jurisdictions for individual consumers), additional refund rights may apply. Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under applicable law.

9. Governing law

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to this policy will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Pennsylvania, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll notify you by email and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Changes apply to charges made after the effective date of the updated policy — we won’t retroactively change the refund eligibility for charges you’ve already made.
